Developer Walter Huntington LLC filed with the Boston Redevelopment Authority for a 12,000 sq ft mixed-use project at 35 South Huntington Ave today.
In the map, 35 South Huntington Ave is the vacant lot near the pin.
According to the filing, the project will contain 38 residential units with one-, two- and three-bedrooms. Five of the units will be affordable and there will also be around 7,000 sq feet of commercial space and 26 parking spaces. The new building will be five- and six-stories tall.
According to the BRA the project in a different iteration was approved in 2002, so it’s technically a “Notice of Project Change” instead of a Letter of Intent, but so much time has passed and the proposal is so different that they’re treating it as a new filing.
In addition to Small Project Review from the BRA, the project will need eight zoning variances.
