Twenty apartments for Hichborn Street

Hichborn Street in Brighton, near New Balance’s Boston Landing development and station, could see the addition of 20 apartments and around 1700 square feet of commercial space in a five story building if approved by the Boston Redevelopment Authority. Three of the residences would be affortdable and there would be 26 parking spaces in a garage.

The developers are Christoper Cormier of Wilmington, Kevin Pallotta of Medford and William Mahoney of Arlington. An existing two story multifamily house would be torn down for the project.

Six zoning variances would be required, in addition to BRA approval.

The site, 26 Hichborn St, is very close to several works-in-progress, including the Residences at Boston Landing, a project by the Mount Vernon Company on Western Avenue and 31 North Beacon Street.
