CRM Property Management and At The Stony Brook proposed a mixed-use five story building with 49 condominimums and 1,000 square feet of commercial space for 3193 Washington Street in Egleston Square. The 12,292 square foot lot has a one story commercial building on it that will be demolished. The new building will be served by just 24 parking spaces and will have 58 bicycle storage spots. Eight of the units will be set-aside as affordable.
There will be three studios, three three-beds, 11 two-beds and the rest of the residences will have one bedroom.
According to the filing the site is in Jamaica Plain, but this looks to be more JP creep as most neighborhood haps show the location in Roxbury. It’s an eight minute walk to both the Green Street and Stony Brook stations of the Orange Line and Washington Street is served by the Route 42 bus, which goes from Forest Hills to Ruggles or Dudley. The project will also be in walking distance to the businesses in Egleston Square and around the Samuel Adams Brewery.
The developers will need zoning variances for floor-area-ration, height, open space per dwelling unit, minimum rear setback, parking and use.
