A two-family home a 10-minute walk north of the Quincy Center Red Line station could be torn down and replaced with a five story, 60-unit apartment building, according to plans filed with the Quincy Planing and Community Development Department. Quincy-based Boston Property Development is the proponent.
Located at 23-31 Bridge Street, the 30,828 square foot property. A garage with 98 parking spaces will be built. Plans show a mixture of studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments. The project needs zoning variances for use, since it’s located in a commercial zone, and parking.
The Quincy Planning Board held a hearing on the proposal August 24 and voted to continue it.
