The Red Line station in South Boston’s Andrew Square is surrounded by somewhat low density housing, but some of it could be replaced with a new condominium development, according to a filing with the Boston Planning and Development Agency. Transcend, LLC proposed a 16 condo building at 33-39 Ward Street, near the intersection with Preble Street. It replaces a single family home.
According to the doicuments filed with the BPDA, the building will be 46 feet and five stories in height and have 26,548 square feet. There will be parking for 17 cars in an at-grade garage.
The mix is of three three bedroom units and 13 two-bedrooms. Two of the condos will be affordable. According to Google Maps, the site is just a five minute walk to Andrew Square.
