Great Commonwealth article on Commuter Rail

Andy Monat of TransitMatters and MBTAInfo, with contributions by Jim Aloisi, Peter Brassard, Josh Fairchild, Alon Levy and Ari Ofsevit put out a fantastic article today in Commonwealth magazine, urging that the MBTA needs to have a goal of developing current commuter rail into regional rail, with electrification, high frequencies and electric multiple units.

One criticism: fare policy was mentioned, but not fare integration between the MBTA and CR. Having to buy seperate tickets for the systems is ridiculous, especially for the Fairmount Line. Possibly something was included and cut because of the fare disparity issue.
